Magna is one of the most popular science museums positioned 45 minutes drive away from Leeds, on the road to Rotherham. Great emphasis is placed on the industrial past of the area, the museum is positioned on one of the large former industrial sites. In the ’70s and ’80s and many workers lost their jobs when coal and steel industry collapsed. The museum tries to show what effect this had an economic collapse of Yorkshire.
