Caterham School is a British coeducational private school. Besides getting good academic results, the school encourages students to think critically, to have moral values and self-confidence and be interested in what is happening in the world. The school is located about 30 km in south London, near the town of the same name. Study programs are: GCSE (14-16 years)
Students have the mandatory subjects: English, mathematics, foreign language choice (French, German, Spanish or Italian) and science (physics, chemistry or biology). Other options are: French, Latin, Spanish, history, philosophy and ethics, theater, economics and business studies , art and design , 3D design, geography, music, physical education, Greek; A Levels ( 16-18 years) – Students need to choose 4-5 topics from the following list of courses available: art and design, biology, business studies, English language and literature, chemistry, drama, economics, French, geography, German, IT ( information technology ), history, Latin and Greek , mathematics, advanced mathematics, music, philosophy and ethics, photography, physical education, physics, politics, Spanish, clothing (“textiles “) .
As extracurricular activities, students can do the following sports: rugby, hockey, netball, tennis, track and field, lacrosse, cricket, badminton, swimming, tae kwan do, golf, soccer, basketball, racing, squash, judo. Other activities include: dance, astronomy, art, chess, charitable activities, ceramics, science club, choir, creative writing, debate, horseback riding, theater, gymnastics, sewing accessories, fall internships (Combined Cadet Force), etc.
